Creating an account for Twoo doesn't take too much of your time. All you have to do is provide the following details: first name, gender, birthday, city, and purpose of joining (chat, make new friends, date). This is if you choose to join using a valid email address and a nominated password. Afterward, an email will be sent to the address you provided and you just have to confirm for verification purposes.

If you want an even quicker way of signing up, you can always choose to register using your Facebook account. No worries as this is only for faster verification. The site respects your privacy and will not post anything on your Facebook account without your permission.

There is no mandatory tick box or whatnot to check so you can adhere to the site's policies and regulations. A disclaimer, however, is provided on the homepage saying that by clicking "Continue as..." or "Sign up", you accept the site's Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Use. You also agree to receive email notifications with regard to your Twoo account. Yet, you can unsubscribe anytime should you feel bombarded with unnecessary emails.

Upon continuing to the site, you are prompted to add a display photo. You can either get one from your Facebook or Instagram account or upload one using your webcam or your computer files. Whichever you may choose, the most important thing is that it has to abide by the site's photo standards. It must be at least 400x400 pixels and with no nudity or copyright violations. You should be the only one in the photo and your face must be recognizable.

As a token of appreciation for joining Twoo, the moderators welcome you by giving 50 bonus credits for free. You can use these credits for some special features like sending a "Super Like" to the profile of the person you fancy the most. This doubles your chances of catching his/her attention.

Twoo is basically a chat site; thus, the main mode of communication to connect with other members is via chat message. Just visit the profile of the person you want to contact and then hit the "Chat" button. A text box will be provided and you just have to type your message then send.

Sounds too good? Well, to draw the line between premium and basic accounts, the latter's chance to communicate is limited. Every day, you only get the chance to chat with members the site chooses for you. Aside from that, you can't chat a verified user unless you get verified yourself (told you, the verification process is important).

With regard to the site's search features, you can always edit your preferences either in your profile page or in the search options. While Twoo does not work as a matchmaking service, it uses a smart technology to look for those who might garner your interest. As long as you answer the Questions on your profile page, the moderators will be able to see who they should display on your search results.

Each profile in Twoo is just like what you see on other dating sites – the typical "About You" box, the uploaded photos and videos, your usual basic information (which is a comprehensive list, by the way) and a summary of your activities. What's probably unique about it are the "Questions" and "Verifications" sections.

The Question portion is a list of 100 questions which you may or may not answer. It gives you the chance to discover your best possible matches. This is not to say that the site does matchmaking. You have full control over your search after all. What the Questions do is increase the number of people (who you have similar values and principles with) that show up in your search results thereby escalating the chances of finding a successful date as well.

With regard to the Verifications, this is a way for both the site and its members to know that you are authentic and genuine. There are many ways to get verified but you actually only need to comply three steps to get a verified status. Here are your options:

1. Add a Verified Photo – Show that you are real by uploading a photo of you doing the 'V' sign. Make sure that your face is clearly visible in the photo.
2. Avail of the Premium Membership – Getting a verified status is one of the perks of having a premium account.
3. Choose which among the following you would like to link your account: Facebook, Google, Windows Live, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram (choose three and you get a verified status).

This verification scheme is quite important. It gives you the option to make your profile visible either to only a few or none at all. You can also unlock the viewing of other users' profiles by getting verified. 

Other than these two key features, everything in your Twoo profile is almost the same as with other sites. You can edit or modify to your heart's content; you can even not fill it out at all. Yet, of course, as you know, a complete profile page accompanied with a stunning display photo gets the most attention.
