Creating an account with Tapple is fast and easy. You can join using your major social media account such as Facebook, or use your Apple or Google account. The app will take some of your public information from these sites and use it on your profile, making the registration process faster. Take note that Tapple will not post anything on these accounts so you will still remain anonymous.

Only the basic information is needed to finish creating your profile such as your name, age, a few things about your physical appearance, hobbies, and interests, and a profile picture to attract potential matches. The registration process is not strict, but you must be within Japan while joining the site - it doesn't matter if you are Japanese or not as long as you are within the country.

Contacting other members on Tapple is fast and convenient. There is a chat function to reach other members instantly, or you can choose to use the personal message button to adorn your sweet message with pictures. If you are a woman, you can use all the messaging features for free. However, male members will have to upgrade their accounts to premium before they can send a message.

Tapple locks its messaging functions this way for the female member's security. As they have found that female members are mostly on the receiving end of the messages, they added this feature to make it more secure. This way, only serious men can get in touch with the lovely ladies. On top of that, the membership is dominated by women. Members can have potential dates by creating 'Date Plans'. Date Plans are functions that allow you to connect with the other party where you want to do or go.

Profile pages in Tapple are neat and organized. Its colors are easy on the eyes and use appropriate icons to introduce different functions. The profile picture takes up the most space, while the other relevant information is listed below such as the username, location, profile rating, and the member's hobbies and interests.

You can rate the profile up to 5 stars. This way, you can gauge whether someone is trustworthy or not based on other people's experiences with the person. Since matching is highly-dependent on hobbies and interests, they are specially placed at the bottom in nice colour-coded tags so you can easily read them.
