The registration process of Mehndi is quick, yet rigorous. Not everyone can be able to access the dating site. The process takes five steps. The first step is for you to provide your email, first and last name, country, and nominate a username and password. The next step is for you to build your profile, which means you need to provide some basic information about yourself.

The third step is for you to write a paragraph about yourself and the partner you are looking for. This step is required, and you need at least 50 characters for each paragraph. The next step is for you to upload your profile picture, but this can be skipped.

The last step of the registration process is for you to verify your email address. Once everything is done, your profile will undergo an approval process which usually takes between four to six hours. You are prohibited to use the full features of the dating site until your profile is approved.

Mehndi has many Special Contacting Features available for its premium members. Special features include getting a personal album where users can share their beautiful photos, send voice messages, songs, and even SMS.

As for standard members, it gives them a fair chance as well to interact by allowing a message reply. Free members may also add interesting users to their Favorites list, and send notifications that they are interested in. Sending electronic card (E-Card) messages lets members express their thoughts through visual images. Mehndi has a wide selection of E-Cards that you can use, depending on the occasion and your mood.

The search filters of Mehndi are detailed and the possibility of finding a match is ideal. You can save your filters so you can use them again next time. If you find a profile that you know would be a good match for your friend, you may refer the profile to him or her even if he or she is not a Mehndi member yet. When that member successfully signs up to Mehndi under your recommendation, you will get rewarded by credits you can use on the website or even cash out.

Member profiles on Mehndi are detailed and comprehensive. Every profile has a ‘Quick Look’ section on top, which features the basic details you need to know about the member such as age, location, religion, ethnicity, and languages are spoken. There is also a small box under his or her profile picture that shows a percentage of how compatible you are with each other. On the right side of the ‘Quick Look’ section are the contacting features.

Under the ‘Quick Look’ section, you will see a short autobiography, with a dropdown menu of available languages you can translate the paragraph to. Below these are two tabs: one is called the ‘Basic Profile’ and the other is ‘Extended Profile’.

The ‘Basic Profile’ shows all the member’s information about appearance, cultural background, social background, and everything related to his or her ideal match. The ‘Extended Profile’ shows his or her interests in sports, fun and entertainment, food, and music.

Most members of Mehndi does not have an extensive photo gallery as standard members are only allowed to upload a maximum of three photos. Standard members can buy Personal Albums, which allows up to 200 photo uploads and private settings. Premium members automatically have Personal Albums as it comes with the premium membership they availed. However, we observed that premium members do not use this paid feature that much.
