Signing up on Heyy is pretty easy. The app provides you with a lot of options to choose from. You can register via Google, Facebook, or Twitter. You can even opt to sign up using your phone and you only have to type in your phone number.

After, you must provide your basic information such as nickname, birthday, and gender. Once finished, you have to select your interests from a variety of options. You can choose as many as you want and be as specific as much as possible.

Your interests serve as the backbone for your matches. The app matches you with people who share the same interests such as you, making it easier to talk to other people since you already have a common ground with them.

The main way you can connect with other members is through video chats. If you find another member attractive and see some potential relationship, you can video chat with them, or hit the “Like” button. Aside from the premium packages, the site also uses diamonds as currencies. You have to purchase diamonds since the more diamonds you have, the longer you can chat with others.

Under the “Popular” feature, you can easily spot the ones who are popular and highly active in the community. Even if you don’t have an unlimited supply of diamonds, you can easily gauge if the person you are talking to is someone you want to keep in touch with in just a brief video chat.

Also, if you want to unlock more content, you can opt to upload a short video of yours. This will help you get more attention and come across as someone who is genuinely interested in getting to know other people. Once you do so, more members, matches, and content will show up on your feed.

The greatest downside of this app is probably its lack of direct messaging options. 

Heyy does not exactly give us traditional profiles. Instead, you see photos of people on your feed. When you click on a member’s photo, you are automatically directed to their live video chat. You have to purchase diamonds to make the call last longer. If you don’t have any diamonds, you will only get a few seconds. Most people would use these video chats and transfer to other platforms if they want to keep in touch.

On these thumbnails, profile, name, and age are displayed. You can filter these suggestions according to gender, language, and location. You can find popular people under the Hot tab. If you want to check out newbies and meet exciting personalities, you can go to the New tab and check your options there. Since the app uses AI-based verification systems, fake profiles are a rare sight.
