Signing up on More Than One is quite simple and straightforward. It will only take less than five minutes. There used to be Google and Facebook registration options. However, the developers opted to have the social media shortcuts removed due to the high influx of fake accounts created. The app is intent on keeping its community genuine and authentic.

To register, you only need to provide your basic information and follow the routine steps to register. There are no personality tests available but you can still personalize your profile with creative bios and a good profile picture.

On More Than One, profiles can be set to require a like before accepting messages or to allow messages from anyone. If there is no message button in a profile, it means you have to like the person before you can send a message. If your like is accepted, then you can send a message. You have the option to require a like before someone can message you. 

Consequently, when you see the mail icon on a profile, it means you can send this person a message and they have not required likes for messaging. Click the icon and type away your message. You can also comment on the photos of other members.

With a free app, the motivations of people joining are not always good or serious. Requiring you to accept someone's like before they can send you a message gives you an opportunity to assess if you want to communicate with someone before they decide to bombard your phone and inbox with messages.

Moreover, if you want to block another member, you don’t have to worry since they won’t be notified.

Profiles on More Than One are unfortunately not as detailed as we would have liked. Although the app encourages its members to upload a photo, most still prefer to browse discreetly and anonymously. Complete profiles immediately stand out from the crowd.

If you happen to create an account, it would be to your advantage to upload a great profile picture to get more likes and have greater options. However, if you are uncomfortable with the idea of your identity out there, there are still ways to use the app discreetly. 

One great thing about this app is how active the moderators are in spotting a fake profile and removing the account right away. This tactic helps keep the community healthy, especially since the app is 100% free to use. Despite these efforts, there are still several reports of members encountering fake profiles on the app.
